“ Had a bachelorette trip up to Lake Arrowhead this past weekend, Saturday night was our night out to The Grill for dinner. We had a party of 7, and were accommodated very well!! We sat by the large fire place, which was very nice and cozy. Our server Garrett was very friendly and made the experience even better!! We ordered a bunch of different apps, entrees and split them amongst all of us. Every item was very good, especially the rosemary chicken, and our steak plates!! The Thai salad was phenomenal, and the tortellini pasta. We had a couple bottles of champagne and wine with our meal to celebrate our bride!! All in all a great experience, I'd definitely dine with The Grill again! Maybe even next time try the sushi bar upstairs!! ”
“ Excellence in the mountain! Mountain vibe meets high end restaurant! No contest!this is the best steak I've had in Arrowhead or Big Bear! Service was top rated and did not disappoint. I had the Ribeye and they let me exchange the potatoes for more veggies Lets Go!!! Everything about this restaurant is quality! ”
“ High key, this place is delish. Great service. Mountain ambiance and located right on the main road between 18 and Lake Arrowhead. Make a reservation cuz it has a more intimate setting; seating is limited. They have a full bar and great wine selection ”
“ Outstanding! Wonderful experience, the food was amazing, good service, and just great ambience. We will definitely go back ”
“ Came on a Friday night a little early to our reservation, but were able to get seated right away. Our server was over right away to greet us and was very welcoming. She shared the specials and asked if we wanted to get some of their grilled bread started. We absolutely ordered the bread. She gave us a few minutes to decide on drinks. They had a pretty good wine list, with several available by the glass. They also had a good cocktail list, which is updated seasonally. I ordered the espresso martini, and two others picked different cocktails. The bread with its truffle butter came out quickly and was delicious. Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Everyone was very happy with their cocktails as well. Our server happily answered questions about our entrees, and we got the order in. Food came out relatively quickly. In the meantime, our water glasses stayed full and we ordered additional drinks. For food, I got the seafood special. The pappardelle noodles were cooked nicely, and there was a nice amount of different fish/shellfish. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but the only little thing was that maybe the portions were a little small for the price. We understand though there aren't a lot of restaurants in the area, and it takes time to get supplies up the mountain. Overall though, we would definitely return when in town in the future. The service was outstanding, and the cabin vibe feels very cozy. ”
“ What a great restaurant! We were visiting friends who live in Crestline, and they recommended The Grill at the Antlers Inn. The Grill was up in the mountains, surrounded by trees, but parking was easy. We arrived a little early for our reservation, but we were able to be seated in the dining hall. The decor was mountain cabin--open ceiling with logs visible and black tablecloths. The drink menu was extensive, and we were told that the bartender updated the menu seasonally. I had a new drink with mezcal and smoked rosemary. It was so good that I had a second one with dinner. We weren't too hungry because we had a big lunch, but my partner and I split the Ahi Poke, and it was more than enough for both of us. We also wanted to save room for dessert because we were told the desserts were homemade and delicious. Our friends had the Special Pumpkin Tortellini and Chicken & Penne Gorgonzola. They both said the dishes were excellent. For dessert, we had the flourless chocolate cake, which was divine. I love flourless chocolate cake, and it was one of the best I have ever had. It was dense but not too thick, rich, and chocolatey. I would come back just for the cake! The Grill at the Antlers Inn is a gem in the mountains worth a stop! ”
“ This restaurant was suggested to us by our hotel manager because my hubby wanted a steak. There is indoor and outdoor dining. First, we had a calamari appetizer. Then he had the rib eye (with mashed potatoes and asparagus), and I had the halibut that with came with risotto and julienned vegetables. We tried the lemon zest cheesecake and the apple and pear bread pudding for dessert (both suggested by our server). The calamari was too bready and the desserts were a bit disappointing. The cheesecake was not lemony enough, and the bread pudding was very mushy and not flavorful. Service was superb and the main entrees were fabulous. So, I won't deduct any stars for the appetizer or desserts. Dinner for two with 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, no beverages, tax, and tip was about $150. ”
“ Definitely a mountain treasure. The decor is as you'd expect for a mountain spot. It's a tad dark so bring your glasses. The food was excellent! Halibut was perfectly prepared with vegetables and risotto on the side. Pork chop special was superbly prepared- juicy and tender. Service was attentive and friendly! ”
“ This was the best meal we've had in a very long time. Who knew from such a rustic old inn/restaurant. A delightful surprise! There is a talented chef hiding in the back of this old log inn. The food was spot on, salmon and seafood perfectly prepared, not overdone with delicious flavors. This food is top notch one of the best meals even in comparison to any expensive restaurant in any culinary city I've been to (I've had seafood and pasta in cities such as NOLA, Paris , Rome, LA and Vegas of course). This is a hidden treasure for a delicious meal. The log cabin vibe is old and rustic which is okay being that's up in the mountains. I give 5 stars for the meal. The waiter was nice our food came out pretty fast. ”
“ Decided to take my girl away for the weekend and had 3 different people recommend this place for our romantic dinner. We happen to be here after the 1st major snow of the season. As with most small mountain communities, when the snow falls, things change. This time was no different. With the snow burms piled high from the snowplows, parking was very difficult to secure. Both their parking lots were full. We got lucky hanging out across the street until someone left from the front lot. First impression, rustic, warm and romantically set. We had a dark corner by the fireplace. So romantic setting; check. Service was very good. Our server was informative, attentive and appropriately humorous. Bar service: I had a new old fashion for starters and it was good. Food came out in good timing and perfectly prepared. I had the pork chops and they were perfectly cooked, juicy and flavorful. The combination of jerk spices on the pork chop, a chicken tamale for the starch and mango sauce topping sounds like an odd combo, but trust me, it works and is a must try. Portions are appropriate for a single meal unless you eat very light. My wife had the sea bass and it was a little overcooked, but flavorful and well presented. Prices are what you would expect for a nice meal out. If you are in the Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead or Rim Forest area, this apparently is the go to spot for that special occasion. ”
